For me, this painting is about those times in life when we may feel as though nothing is happening, yet deep within us, we’re growing, changing and becoming someone new.
The soft, luminous colours and gentle layers capture that magical moment of emerging, when we begin to spread our wings and discover the beauty of who we’re becoming. What I find especially wonderful about the butterfly is that transformation doesn’t have to be a struggle. Sometimes it’s about trusting the process, allowing ourselves the time we need and knowing that we’re ready to fly when the moment comes.
