Elephants have always had a special place in my heart, and it all started with my dad. He absolutely loved them, and as a little girl, I grew to love them too.
One of my favourite memories is how we used to play together, pretending to be a big elephant and a little elephant. Such simple, happy moments that have stayed with me all these years.
My dad passed away five years ago, and painting this elephant took me on a little journey down memory lane. I found myself thinking about those wonderful times we shared and what elephants mean to me now.
The playful colours remind me of the fun we had together, while the deep blue background brings a lovely sense of calm.
This painting is very close to my heart. It’s a little celebration of childhood, love and those precious memories that stay with us.
