Meet the Goddess
Oh, she’s a softie. A beautiful, dreamy, sentimental softie!
She’s the friend who cries at films, happy endings, sad songs and occasionally a particularly beautiful sunset.
She loves watching rain trickle down the window and considers it a perfectly productive way to spend an afternoon.
She’ll happily stay up until two in the morning having a deep conversation about life, love and everything you’ve ever felt.
And she collects mugs.
Forty-seven of them, to be precise.
Does she need another one? Absolutely not.
Will she buy that gorgeous blue mug with the little stars on it?
Of course she will!
She loves baths, soft music, sparkly things and every imaginable shade of blue.
But making decisions?
Oh dear.
Ask her whether she’d prefer tea or coffee and you might be waiting a while.
“I don’t know… What are you having?”
And when she’s having an off day, she becomes a little melancholy.
She’ll retreat beneath a blanket, stare out of the window and sigh as though she’s starring in a very dramatic romantic film.
Whatever you do, don’t tell her to cheer up!
She doesn’t need a lecture or someone rushing in to fix everything.
Just sit beside her, bring her a cup of tea and let her have her moment.
She’ll come back when she’s ready.
Her Gentle Reminder
When your feelings seem too big, your thoughts are racing or you’re tired of trying to hold everything together, perhaps she’ll remind you that you don’t have to be strong in the same way every day.
It’s okay to be sensitive.
It’s okay to cry.
It’s okay to need a little quiet and kindness.
Feelings can be like water. Sometimes they’re calm, sometimes they’re turbulent, and sometimes we simply need to give them room to move.
You don’t have to rush yourself through every difficult moment.
You are allowed to feel deeply and still find your way forward.
