Collection: Meditations on Red and Blue
“Sometimes the most wonderful things appear when we simply let ourselves play.”
This painting started with me playing with inks, experimenting with colours and enjoying the freedom of not knowing exactly where it would lead.
And then, quite unexpectedly, a phoenix appeared in my intuition!
I followed that image and allowed the painting to develop. It became a much more channelled, intuitive experience than something I had planned from the beginning.
I’ve always loved the symbolism of the phoenix — rising again, transformation and the possibility of new beginnings. But what I especially love about this painting is the way it came into being.
For me, Phoenix Rising is a celebration of creative freedom, of trusting intuition and allowing something unexpected to emerge.
