I grew up in Hungary, a country without a coastline, but I’ve always felt such a strong connection to the sea. Even now, living inland in England, I look forward to those wonderful moments when I can stand on a beach, breathe in the salty air and listen to the waves.
I love the energy of the sea, especially when the waves are crashing onto a pebbled shore. The beautiful blues, the white foam, the smooth stones and that constant movement — I could watch it for hours!
That’s what I wanted to capture in this painting. A little piece of the sea and all the wonderful feelings it brings me.
